Independent Roofers Australia – Returns, Exchanges & Warranty Policy
At Independent Roofers Australia, we aim to provide high-quality roofing products and reliable service. To ensure fairness and clarity, the following conditions apply to all returns, exchanges, and product-related claims.
1. Eligibility for Returns
Return requests must be made within 48 hours of the delivery date.
Customer is liable for costs associated with having items returned to point of origin.
A valid tax invoice, delivery docket, or proof of purchase must accompany all returns.
Products must be unused, uninstalled, undamaged, and supplied in their original packaging.
All goods are checked by our suppliers / manufacturers prior to approval of any return or exchange.
Refunds will only be offered meet the criteria set out within this returns, exchanges & warranty policy.
Independent Roofers Australia may refuse any return request at our discretion.
2. Customer Responsibilities
Customers must check all goods at the time of pickup or delivery to ensure accuracy and quality.
If a manufacturing defect is identified, our responsibility is limited strictly to replacing the affected item.
We are not liable for any consequential or indirect costs, including labour, delays, or damage to other property.
3. Change of Mind
Please ensure all quantities, colours, profiles, measurements, and product types are correct before ordering.
We do not provide refunds or exchanges for incorrect selections or change of mind.
4. Goods Damaged in Transit
If an order arrives damaged, you must inform us immediately, using one of the following:

Delivery charges are non-refundable, unless the damage occurred during transport organised by Independent Roofers Australia.
5. Lodging a Claim
Any product-related claim must be submitted within 48 hours of receiving the goods.
Claims must be emailed to [email protected] with photos, order details, and a description of the issue.
Claims submitted after the 48 hour period may not be considered.
Independent Roofers Australia reserves the right to decline a claim if the product does not meet the criteria set out in this policy.
6. Items That Cannot Be Returned
Due to handling, safety, and customisation factors, the following goods are not eligible for return or exchange:
Custom-cut, modified, or made-to-order materials
Colorbond roofing sheets, flashings, and associated components
Terracotta or concrete roof tiles
Polycarbonate roofing products
Opened bundles of shingles, insulation, or membrane rolls
Any tools or equipment that show signs of use
7. Restocking Fees
Approved returns for stocked items may incur a restocking fee.
Special-order or custom manufactured items may not be accepted for returns or restocking.
8. Delivery & Collection Requirements
Goods should be checked upon delivery or pickup for damage or shortages.

Delivery fees are non-refundable unless the fault is directly related to our suppliers chosen transport service.
9. Manufacturer Warranties
Many products are covered by manufacturer warranties outside of this policy.
Warranty claims must be made directly with the manufacturer; however, we can assist with supporting documentation.
Independent Roofers Australia is not responsible for the manufacturer’s decision or warranty timeframes.
10. Trade & Retail Customers
Trade and retail customers are bound by the return terms outlined in their this policy.

Please thoroughly inspect all roofing materials and accessories upon receipt.
We reserve the right to reject any return or claim that does not adhere to this policy.
